The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Monday, September 14 reveals Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) health crisis was just a ruse to lure Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk).
Also coming up, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will wonder how to exploit a situation. Plus, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will ask for Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) help. And Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will bust Matt Clark (Roger Howarth).
Y&R spoilers tease Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters), Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will be frantic. Jack will wake up but then his eyes will close again. “I can’t catch a breath,” he’ll tell his family, before the paramedics take him away.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Victor Asks Why Adam Didn’t Run Story By Him
At Crimson Lights, Sally will meet with Adam and say there’s a life and death situation going on. “Tell me it’s not the baby,” he’ll reply. Sally will admit if something happened, she wouldn’t call him, but she’ll thank him. Adam will wonder about the favor and she’ll ask if he could put a bigger spin on the story of Patty’s escape.
“The favor I am asking you to do, you would be doing for Jack.” Sally will say she wants him to highlight Patty’s obsession. She’ll add that Jack went to the hospital for a suspected heart attack but it’s all a trap. “We need the ruse of Jack’s heart attack to go viral.” Plus, it would look more credible to Patty on his platform. So she’ll ask if he’ll help them set a trap. “Oh hell yeah,” Adam will reply.
As for Billy and Kyle, they’ll return to the office and he’ll say the news of this should be hitting social media right now. Kyle will ask if Sally’s activating her part of the plan. Shortly after, Sally will arrive and she’ll tell them Adam didn’t hesitate to help. Billy will say the story is all over Newman Media.
Meanwhile, Adam will end up at the ranch and Victor will ask why he didn’t run the Patty story by him. He’ll say he’s surprised Victor’s so concerned. “The truth is Jack didn’t really have a heart attack, it was just a ruse to get Patty out of hiding.” Victor will tell Adam her fixation on Jack could be something someone could exploit. “Why can’t you just let it go?” Adam will reply.
At the hospital, Jack will ask Diane how he did and she’ll say it was an Oscar worthy performance. Although she hated seeing him like that. Detective Burrow (Matt Cohen) and some off duty paramedics helped them pull it off, to set a trap for Patty.
Jack will say hopefully the police will catch her this time. But Diane will comment that even if they do, she’ll escape again eventually. “When will we ever get Patty Williams out of our lives?” She’ll also worry the villain won’t take the bait. “She will,” Jack will say.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Matt Asks Patty To Come To Motel Room
In Matt’s motel room, Phyllis will continue to interrogate him. “That smell, it’s making me nauseous and I’ve smelled it before,” she’ll say. “There’s only one person who could wear a scent so hideous, it’s Patty isn’t it?” Matt will admit it was her. In fact, Patty found him because she followed her.
“She said it was only a matter of time before you stabbed me in the back again.” Phyllis will tell him Patty needs a partner in crime. “You’re not that guy anymore.” She’ll add that Patty needs to pay, but they should do that in a way that benefits them both. “We’ll make sure that the Newmans and the Abbotts are there to witness everything we do.”
Finally, Patty will hang out in an alleyway and she’ll pull out a stuffed kitty, saying she missed it so much. She’ll tell Mister Kitty she was going to leave town but had second thoughts because of her phone call with Jack. She’ll add that she has a potential ally in Matt. She just needs to get rid of Phyllis. “Once I do, he will be putty in my hands.”
But her big plan will be to get Diane out of the way. “And then Jack will finally be mine.” Patty will look at her phone to see if there are any breaking news stories about her. She’ll grin when she sees them. Patty will be concerned when she reads Jack was rushed to the hospital. And she’ll watch a video of it taken at Society.
Then Patty will get a call from Matt and say she’s happy to hear from him. “I knew we weren’t done with each other.” Patty will ask if he had a change of heart and he’ll say he has. “Come to my motel and I’ll tell you all about it.”
